The Wilkey North Industrial Park in Franklin, Kentucky may be the future manufacturing home of the ZAP Alias. In cooperation with Integrity Automotive, ZAP has broken ground on a new facility that will be dedicated to electric car manufacturing, possibly to include the ZAP Alias. From the ZAP World website:

“The goal of the project is a one million square foot factory for electric vehicles, a project with an estimated value of $100 million. The factory is expected to begin producing electric vehicles within 12 months and employ up to 1,000 people initially with the possibility of more in the future.”

The three-wheeled Zap Alias prototype was onsite during the groundbreaking ceremony. The Alias is expected to have a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of around $32,500, a 100 mph top speed, a 0-60 mph time of 7.7 seconds and a more than 100 mile all electric range.
