Triac Electric Vehicle NOW Available in California!
Looking for an electric vehicle now? There is one currently available in California, the Triac EV. This three -wheeled electric ride as you can see below, is not super roomy, in fact, it is being marketed as a commuter only car.
Although the Triac is not big in size, it is big in fuel savings, as it is an electric plug-in. In all it takes about 6 hours to fully charge it. The EV averages top speeds of up to 80 MPH, and has a range of up to 100 miles charged up. The green Triac is made by the folks at Green Vehicles, and will definitely make a statement on the road. This eco friendly vehicle is available in two towns in California, including Mill Valley and San Jose.
Is this an affordable EV? Yes and No! The price tag on the zero-emissions Triac as of this writing is $20,000, but it is rather small and has no airbags. Not to mention there are no incentives from the state/federal government. The value is debatable and will vary by consumer need.
Can you see yourself in the Triac? How does the idea of a three-wheeled vehicle strike you? Share your opinion below.

Are the batteries easily exchangeable from outside the car at battery exchange stations? Do you have a spare battery truck cell phone and GPS capable, 24-7 service to get a spare to me if I need It? Can I slide by grid lock like a motorcycle does? Can it park sideways in a normal parking spot? Don’t tell me it has no air bags, tell me I’m fastened into a 4 point race car safety seat with roll bar and safety cage and I’m sitting in a carbon fiber body that flexes and deflects on impact instead of folding! You are selling the ultimate answer to the oncoming oli crunch, sound like it!
After paying $80 to fill up my tank today… this thing is looking pretty amazing=)
Uncle B: Telling it like it is. Do you work for Green Vehicles?
Kevin: I hear ya, i’m glad i work from home, and barely drive. But it does suck when its fill up time. The Triac is viable.
Uncle Bill: Those are some interesting questions that you could easily find the answer to at the Triac website. But honestly, I think you are just here to criticize like a bitch.
It takes steps to get to a goal, and sometimes the products that take us to our goal aren’t as great as we’d like. The point it, this world is choking, and these alternatives are a step in the right direction, even if they don’t give us the keys to Eutopia immediately.
I applaud their ingenuity.

This would be great for commuting, I would get one of these tomorrow if it were affordable. Everyone agrees this is the way to go so why aren’t there any incentives/writeoffs to go this way
20K is not that affordable, when considering the rate of return.
Living in New england I might get 7-8 months out of it still needing to maintain a gas powered vehicle for other trips and winter months
Hi. The triac was a stolen project. It is a copy of the concept namend “Comet” By Alvino Design. All legal actions will be performed in order to establish legality. See the original project here: http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q236/dotcommodity/comet.jpg
