Public Policy Day at the Washington Auto Show

The theme for the 2009 Washington Auto Show is “Driven by the Environment†and eco-friendly vehicles and automotive initiatives will play an important role in the show’s public policy day on February 3.
The following announcements and presentations are scheduled:
- Stefan Jacoby, President and CEO, Volkswagen Group of America
- Manufacturer announcements on alternative fuel models, advanced technologies, electric cars, and the latest energy and “green” advancements
- U.S. Department of Energy
- U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
- The Green Car Vision Award(TM) from The Green Car Journal
The Walter E. Washington Convention Center will host the Washington Auto Show; public policy day events run from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on February 3 with a reception to follow.
“Public Policy Day attendees also are invited to join auto industry leaders, dealers and industry executives as they host members of Congress, government leaders, diplomats and media for a Preview Reception of current and future automobile models on display before The Washington Auto Show officially opens to the public. The Preview Reception will be held on Tues., Feb. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m., following Public Policy Day.†(Source: Washington Auto Show)
