Opel Insignia ecoFLEX to Debut at Paris Motor Show

As the opening of the Paris Motor Show (also known as the Mondial de L’Automobile) gets closer, more automobile manufacturers from around the world are announcing either world or European debuts. General Motors has announced that five world premieres and three European premieres will be a part of the auto giant’s Paris event. One of these world premieres is the Opel Insignia ecoFLEX.
From the September 19 GM Press Release, the Opel Insignia ecoFLEX “offers environmentally friendly driving without compromising on performance. In contrast to competitors, it is not a low-end model, but rather a sophisticated, powerful automobile that blends driving dynamics with high fuel efficiency.â€
In addition to the debut of the Insignia ecoFLEX, Opel has also announced that the Opel Corsa and Opel Astra ecoFLEX models will be available for model year 2009. “The two cars will be available before the end of 2008. In summer 2009, Opel also will introduce the ecoFLEX version of the new top model Insignia, bringing a low fuel consumption and exhaust emissions together with high comfort and driving performance to the mid-size class.†(Source: General Motors Media Site)
