New Ford Ka to Appear at Paris Motor Show
Posted on: September 10th, 2008 by Melissa

The new Ford Ka is yet another reason for Americans to be envious of Europeans. This low cost, low-emission vehicle will be available in European markets later this year or early in 2009. The Ka will come with a choice of a petroleum-based or diesel-based engine. The diesel Ka will have an average fuel efficiency of 4.2 liters/100 km, which roughly translates to 57 mpg (it has been a long time since I’ve converted metrics). The Ka will be appearing alongside other Ford models at the 2008 Paris Motor Show.
In other exciting Ka news, a special edition version of the Ka featuring custom gold paint as well as interior and exterior upgrades appears in the newest James Bond film, Quantum of Solace. Ford has released a picture of the beautiful Olga Kurylenko in the Ka on the set in Panama.Â
Although no plans are in place to release the Ka in the United States, it will be interesting to see if Ford plans to bring a similarly efficient vehicle to the domestic market.
