Green Energy Station to Open in Destiny, Florida

The city of Destiny, Florida announced today that final plans are in the work for Florida’s first “Green Energy Station.†The station will be located in Osceola County and is being created in a collaboration between the city and Mid-State Energy, Inc.
“Currently, the project is in the final design stages that call for five gasoline and alternative fuel stations and six diesel dispensers. The final fuel mix is still in development, but potential options include E85, a blend of 15 percent gasoline and 85 percent ethanol, as well as soy-or animal fat-based biodiesel, compressed natural gas, liquid hydrogen fuels and plug-in charging stations for electric or hybrid vehicles.†(Source: PR Newswire)
As with your standard filling stations, the Green Energy Station will also have a convenience market. This will not be your standard market though; this one will be powered by solar and geothermal sources. The Green Energy Station is being designed to provide a service to customers but to help educate the public about sustainable energy choices.
