Every year, Kelley Blue Book releases its Best Resale Value Awards and several fuel-efficient models made the top ten list for 2009. The 2009 Honda Civic is ranked in the top position for resale value and this includes all of the Civic models, including the Honda Civic Hybrid.

Other popular and fuel efficient vehicles that are expected to have a high resale value include the 2009 Honda Fit, 2009 Toyota Prius and the 2009 Toyota Yaris. Three of these four vehicles also made the Environmental Protection Agency’s top ten list of most fuel-efficient vehicles. The Honda Fit was not included on the EPA list.

Kelley Blue Book also looks at best in class as well as best brands. The best brand for resale value for 2009 is the Honda – the Civic Hybrid, Civic GX and the all-new Honda Insight likely help boost the brand rating. The best in class for Hybrid Car was the Honda Civic Hybrid, the best in class Hybrid Crossover went to the Toyota Highlander Hybrid and the best in class Hybrid SUV was awarded to the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid.
