Four Hybrids Make KBB’s Best New Family Vehicles List

Kelley Blue Book has released its top ten list of “Best New Family Vehicles” for model year 2009 and four hybrid models plus the award-winning 2009 VW Jetta SportWagen TDI have made the list.

The 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid, Toyota Camry Hybrid, Chevy Tahoe Hybrid and Toyota Highlander Hybrid all made the top 10 list this year.

The 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid made the list because it “delivers an average of 135 more miles from a 15-gallon fill-up than its gas-only counterpart. On long family road trips, you’ll have even less of a chance of making it through a full tank between restroom breaks.” (Source: KBB)

The Ford Escape Hybrid was noted for its fuel efficiency rating that is better than the Toyota Camry Hybrid plus its redesigned look and feel (including more power.) The Highlander Hybrid is the most fuel-efficient three-row vehicle on the road while the Tahoe Hybrid is a better choice for large families
