2009 Toyota Prius Specs

The 2009 Toyota Prius will be up against some stiff competition in the next year as the “Prius-killerâ€, also known as the 2009 Honda Insight, is expected to hit car dealers in the spring of 2009. The new Insight will come with an MSRP of $18,500 while the 2009 Toyota Prius will likely be in the $21-$22k range. However, Toyota has a strong customer loyalty base to draw upon. For those looking at a 2009 Toyota Prius, here are some of the vehicle’s specifications.
The 2009 Prius will feature a four-cylinder engine with 110 net horsepower and an overall emission certification rating as an SULEV with AT-PZEV as well. The fuel economy ratings are 48 mpg in the city, 45 mpg on the highway that leads to a combined rating of 46 mpg. There are a couple of different premium packages available which allows consumers to add on a backup camera, Smart Key system, premium sound by JBL, Bluetooth capability, HomeLink, a navigation system and more.
