2009 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid Upgraded

General Motors designed the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid to compete with the Toyota Camry Hybrid. The 2009 Chevy Malibu Hybrid comes with several improvements over the 2008 model; most noticeable is the increase in gas mileage to 34 mpg on the highway and 26 mpg in the city. When comparing mpg to mpg between the 2009 Malibu and 2009 Camry hybrids, the Camry takes the nod with its superior 33 mpg city rating but both vehicles have a 34 mpg highway rating.

The Malibu Hybrid uses a nickel metal hydride battery and comes with General Motor’s standard five-year/100,000 mile power train warranty.
