2008 Honda Civic Hybrid: Affordable Luxury

Before you go off to sell your firstborn child to get the money needed to buy a hybrid, sit down for a minute. Stop what you’re doing and consider this. There are hybrids that are priced for the middle class. Not all hybrids are made for the wealthy upper class. Not only that, but one of the most affordable hybrids on the market actually looks good as well. Yes, it is true. There is a hybrid out there that you can afford and you won’t have to wear a disguise as you tool around town in it. There will not be any embarrassment in driving around in this car. In fact, you might want to drive the streets slowly with the windows down so your neighbors can see you and realize what a cool person you actually are.

What car is it that looks good and is affordable? It’s the 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid. With a starting price of $22,600, the Honda Civic Hybrid is both good looking and something you can afford without renting out that extra room in your home. Not having to live with some crazy border that carries a butcher knife in her sleep is reason enough to consider the Honda Civic Hybrid when going shopping for that new car.

Price and looks aren’t the only reason to consider the Honda Civic Hybrid. The Civic Hybrid gets 45 miles to the gallon on the highway and 40 miles to the gallon in the city, which puts it up there with top ranking hybrids. It has the idle stop feature, which is also a great fuel saving measure. That way, whenever your car is not moving, it is not burning fuel.

The Honda Civic Hybrid is made for travelers. Unlike most hybrids that get better gas mileage in the city, the Civic does better on the interstate. Those who are constantly on the go will be able to rely on the Civic Hybrid to continue to deliver for them.

Still not convinced? The Honda Civic Hybrid is also great for the techno geek in all of us. The Civic Hybrid comes with satellite linked navigation with voice recognition. Also, it has a superior sound system that includes six speakers. That is very unusual for a factory issued sound system.

Not only is the car loaded with fun technology, it is also safe. It did well in crash test ratings. The driver’s side got a four out of five star rating on front impact collisions, and the passenger side got a five out of five star rating.

If safety, gas mileage, and looks don’t have you completely convinced to run down to the local Honda dealership, think about the roominess of the Honda Civic Hybrid. It seats up to five people, and it is more sedan than compact car.

If you’re in the market for a hybrid and want something that is affordable and will meet your needs, purchase the Civic Honda Hybrid. It has something for everyone, and is sure to satisfy the pickiest of drivers. It is a great looking car that also happens to be a hybrid.
