10 Trucks that Offer Great Fuel Economy

Â
The love affair that drivers have with trucks is never going to go away, even with the increased price of gas. Because of that, it is important for truck buyers to know about the gas mileage of different trucks so they can buy something that is sensible for their budgets. There are several 2008 model trucks available that offer good gas mileage, and consumers might want to consider them when looking for that new pickup truck.
1. Ford Ranger-The four cylinder gets 26 hwy mpg and 21 city mpg
2. Mazda 2 Wheel Drive Truck-This four cylinder, five speed truck get 26 hwy mpg and 21 city mpg
3. Toyota Tacoma-The four cylinder, five speed truck gets 25 hwy mpg and 20 city mpg
4. Isuzu i-290 Extended Cab-This four wheel drive, five cylinder truck gets 24 hwy mpg and 18 city mpg

10. Ford F-150 2 Wheel Drive-The five speed manual has six cylinders and still averages 20 hwy and 14 city mpg
As you can see, you can drive a truck and still save money on gas. While there certainly are gas guzzlers out there, there are also a lot of models that offer great mileage and still look and feel great. Trucks have often been demonized for their gas burning qualities, but in these cases that is unfair. Hybrids are not the only way to save money on gas. Smart shopping can get some great results for the people who love trucks. Automakers are moving toward better fuel economy, for hybrids and traditional vehicles.

Great post. I will read your posts frequently. Added you to the RSS reader.
It’s amazing to see all the car companies competing for the best gas mileage. I wanted to get a new car, but figured it still isn’t worth it yet. I converted my old car to run on waste vegetable oil, and it’s been really profitable. It’s actually making me money. I didn’t think driving a car could actually turn a profit. I haven’t paid for gas since Jan. Not only is it great for the environment, my car smells like french fries. check out my ride at austinchu.wordpress.com.
